Kicking off with the pounding cabaret earworm of I Talk To The Devil, tumbling into the wistfully bleak It Feels Like Home, zooming back out with the twisted love of Pop Culture, and then strutting into the sunset with the smoldering guitar and wryly smiling A Saint Like You... There really is no choice but to play them all again!

Jerry grew up in Northern Colorado, an area with a history of turning out unusual artists making exciting music. As a kid he and his sister would blast R.E.M.'s "It's the End of the World as We Know It" in the car, singing at the top of their lungs. To this day he strives to channel some of that epic euphoria in his own songwriting. Yet he also loves bleakness. He sees his music as part of the soundtrack to the crumbling decay of a dying empire.

Epic euphoria and a love for bleakness. That's actually a fantastic encapsulation of the landscapes in which the songs of Jerry Mars travel. This also comes through in his influences. His reverence for classic songsmiths like ABBA, Lennon and McCartney, and Bowie as well as post-modern stylists like Destroyer and LCD Soundsystem crystalizes in a sound that is unique yet also familiar. Like the memory of a first crush.
